Served aboard from 1964 to August 1967, in the electric shop, boat crew and engineering, did my watch in the starboard engine room with Jim Bush and others. Many good memories and no regrets. Got out in 1967 served my reserve time, took some time off and went on to do seven years in the Army reserve. Instructor at the NCO academy for 4 years. Left the military in for good in 1982 as a SFC (E-7). Always enjoy the site. Glad to see Doc is doing well, love to see your paintings if they are posted on line.
