Shipmate told me he had heard that the "Combat Action Ribbon" was awarded to the crew for service in Vietnam during the period of 1964 - 1974. Don't know if this is true, but was curious, if it was and if it was for a specific action etc. Further if it is true how one applies for this award. I have my metals form the Navy and my Army time on display and would like to include this one if it is appropriate and authorized.
My wife and I just retired, sold our home in Arizona and purchased a 37 foot 5th wheel and are hitting the road, for adventures across this wonderful country of ours. I just read the recent additions to the "Over The Bar" section. Well done! Unfortunately many of our shipmates
and their wives will continue to pass. Recognition of their support for the Cabildo association is wonderful.
We have gotten to know many great people through the association that served, or were married to those who served,
on the Cabildo at different times. We'll miss them all and many of us will join them sooner than later.

I do not know what has happened, but our web site has really changed for the worst. The way it was before was so much easier to add our comments. Now with this change, seems to be that you make it so hard to address our concerns, that from what I noticed, no one has even tried to add anything since September. Also, my information is correct and yet, I have not received a newsletter in a long time. Why the big change, when everything was fine without it.
